How Licensing Works

Hardware Fingerprint

Each NaviPOS license is tied to a hardware fingerprint — a unique identifier generated from your computer. This ensures:

• Your license is protected from unauthorised copying
• Only your computer can run your licensed copy
• If you change computers, your affiliate partner requests a hardware transfer

Activation Process

1. Your affiliate partner installs NaviPOS on your computer
2. The software generates a hardware fingerprint automatically
3. Your affiliate partner enters the license key and activates it
4. NaviPOS is ready to use immediately

License Renewal

When your license is approaching expiry, you receive automatic reminders:

• 30 days before — Reminder via SMS and email
• 7 days before — Second reminder
• 1 day before — Final urgent reminder
• On expiry — NaviPOS enters restricted mode (view-only, no new sales)

How to Renew

1. Visit portal.navipos.co.ke and log in
2. Click Renew License
3. Choose your renewal period
4. Pay via M-Pesa STK Push — confirm on your phone
5. License extends automatically within seconds

Or contact your affiliate partner to process the renewal for you.

Hardware Transfer

If you replace your computer, the hardware fingerprint changes and your license will show a mismatch. Your affiliate partner can request a hardware transfer from the admin team — this re-binds your license to the new machine at no extra charge.

Can I upgrade from Monthly to Annual? Yes. Contact your affiliate partner. You'll receive credit for remaining days.

What happens when my license expires? NaviPOS enters restricted mode — you can view existing data but cannot process new sales. Renew to restore full access instantly.

Can I use NaviPOS on multiple computers? Each license covers one computer. Contact us for multi-license arrangements.
