General
What is NaviPOS? NaviPOS is a Point-of-Sale and inventory management software built specifically for Kenyan businesses. It handles sales, inventory, M-Pesa payments, expenses, reporting, and remote monitoring.
What industries does NaviPOS serve? Supermarkets, pharmacies, agrovets, electronics shops, hardware stores, restaurants, boutiques, bookshops, clubs, entertainment arcades, and more.
Is NaviPOS available outside Kenya? Currently, NaviPOS is designed for the Kenyan market with M-Pesa integration and KES currency. Contact us for international inquiries.
Does NaviPOS work offline? Yes. NaviPOS works fully offline for sales and inventory. An internet connection is only needed for M-Pesa payments, remote monitoring (NaviPOS-Web), and license activation.
Licensing
What license types are available? Trial (30 days free), Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime. All include full features.
What happens when my license expires? NaviPOS enters restricted mode — you can view existing data but cannot process new sales. Renew to restore access immediately.
Can I use NaviPOS on multiple computers? Each license covers one computer. Contact us for multi-license arrangements.
What is a hardware fingerprint? A unique identifier generated from your computer that ties your license to your specific machine. This prevents unauthorised copying.
Can I transfer my license to a new computer? Yes. Your affiliate partner requests a hardware transfer, and the admin team re-binds your license at no extra charge.
Payments
How do I pay for NaviPOS? Via M-Pesa STK Push (from the Client Portal), bank transfer, or cash through your affiliate partner.
How do affiliate partner commission payouts work? Commissions are calculated on the 1st of each month and paid via M-Pesa B2C by the 5th, after admin approval.
Can clients pay for renewals directly?
Yes. Clients can renew via M-Pesa STK Push from their Client Portal at portal.navipos.co.ke.
Affiliate Partners
How do I become an affiliate partner? Apply at navipos.co.ke. Applications are reviewed within 24 hours.
Is there a cost to join? No. Joining the affiliate partner programme is completely free.
What commission rates do partners earn? 10% (Bronze) to 25% (Platinum), depending on your number of active clients.
What support do partners receive? Training, marketing materials, dedicated chat with the admin team, and a full partner portal with dashboard and analytics.
Technical
What operating systems does NaviPOS support? Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). Ubuntu 20.04+ available on request.
What hardware do I need? A computer with at least 4 GB RAM, 10 GB storage, and USB ports for barcode scanner and receipt printer. See our System Requirements.
Does NaviPOS support barcode scanners? Yes. Any USB HID barcode scanner works with NaviPOS (plug-and-play). See our Hardware Guide.
